Not only Little Girl Blue, but also, I Need A Man to Love, Buried Alive in the Blues, and even A Woman Left Lonely!!! My goodness!!! I may sound a little crazy but this is all just so exciting to me!!! Four outta my top 5 Janis tunes!! Only one missing in there would be To Love Somebody!
The whole show was so Janis! From the flamboyant entrance on the bike, the shakin it and hammin it up with the fellow members of the band, the waving cigarette, your complete attire, choice words and dialogue, right down to the southern comfort! A good tribute without being sensationalistic …
You were great last night – both you individually and you plural. The show is a good tribute to Joplin’s talent without being sensationalistic or exploitative. The music, of course, is great, and you’ve got a good group of players. Nigel and I were wondering how long it’ll be before you’re filling the NAC or Massey Hall.
